Tools for Faster, Easier Meal Prep

I'm always a fan of using what you have when possible, but I'm also all for saving time and making things simpler. Here are a few favorite kitchen gadgets and things you may have seen pop up in my teaching kitchen if you have joined a class.

Ninja Blender

I bought a few too many $8 smoothies in my life, because I didn't want to get out the "big blender". This investment paid for itself in a week. Also, a tasty way to blend up some diy popsicles.

Boiled Egg Cooker

Is this necessary? Absolutely not. Does it play a fun song when your eggs are done and make them SUPER easy to peel? Yes.

Baggy Holders

Once you use these once, you'll wonder how you managed without. Reduce spills and save time when you fill freezer bags. Baby toes not included ;)

Freezer Cubes

Freezer Cubes

The best for freezing pesto, herbs, sauces, and more! I often freeze small amounts of canned goods leftover from a recipe for a future smoothie or meal (ex. coconut milk, pumpkin, tomato paste, etc.)

Ninja Food Processor

Cookie dough, salsa, shredded veggies or cheese, this versatile food processor doesn't disappoint and saves SO much time!

Produce Chopper

Make a fruit or Greek salad in 5 min. This is also a great way to enlist quick volunteers to make mirepoix or other prep ingredients for dinner.

4-Serving Containers

These are great when batch cooking for multiple servings and you want something that is both durable & sustainable (& great in the freezer too!).

I'd recommend bringing 4-6 of these to class, as some meals you may package separately (ex. pasta & rice) OR you could do a mix of our freezer bags and just a few of these.

Container Ideas

We always provide freezer bags for packaging at our parties, but you are  welcome to bring your own containers for sustainability.

Individual Containers

These are a favorite, who doesn't like fun colors? Use these when wanting to portion out individual servings for a quick reheat. They are both oven & freezer friendly, so versatile in whatever way you want to use them.

We are cooking ~12 servings of food, so you could choose to bring 12 of these, or do a mix of freezer bags and a few of these.

Snackies

Our family loves a few pre-filled snack containers for a no-effort kid lunch or car snack on the way to an activity.

For the parent + child class, most of our snacks/sides will package well in a container like this, but you could totally just bring individual containers too.
