We all have those days, weeks, or maybe even seasons where we’re just trying to get by. When we had my daughter, I dealt with pretty severe postpartum anxiety and anything beyond basic life functions felt near impossible. When I went back to work, I had a long-time client introduce me to a list they made while I was gone of “Can’t Be Bothered Meals.” These were meals they had came up with for when they had low energy, low mood, or just low interest in food. I loved this idea and started using it with many other clients to create a SOS meal plan for when cooking is just not in the cards but you need a plan to still get yourself &/or family fed.

5 Can’t Be Bothered - No Cook Meals in Fayetteville, AR

  1. Whole Foods Pizza - call WF, press 1 to speak to customer service, ask “can I be transferred to order a pizza.” Then 10 seconds later (they’re fast, it’s not like calling insurance), you ask “can I order a pizza to pick up at X time. Pay $12-$15 depending on toppings. Want no clean up? Bring the fam, snag the card board boxes by the salad bar & eat there. For extra fun, break out the board games found near the bar area.

  2. Sam’s Rotisserie Chicken - plan grocery pick up or delivery for 4-6pm on whatever day you please & add that rotisserie chicken to a bagged salad mix. We also like the rotisserie chicken bites. Eat as is OR roll into a tortilla with some cheese & other no-prep toppings for a tasty wrap. We give the kids raw veggies like carrots, cucumbers & black olives & eat pretzels crisps or some other crunchy carb.

  3. Fancy Smoothie Bowls AT home - Mamaka will always have my heart. The ambience, the summer mems, but not so much the price. This led us to making our fave smoothie bowls on hot summer nights! Keep a bag of granola, fresh fruit, pb, honey & other fun toppings. Make your fave smoothie, add extra frozen fruit or ice to make it thicker, top with favorite toppings.

  4. Mediterranean Charcuterie - hummus, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, olives, chickpeas, LOTS of pita; my kid's roll their eyes for how often we have charcuterie for dinner in the summer but it's easy and everyone eats it! For extra fun, I'll put the different items it in a cupcake tin and we eat outside.

  5. Breakfast Burritos - okay this one takes a bit of prep, but we often have bfast burritos stashed in our freezer! I'll leave these out a night in advance, microwave for 30-60 seconds, then throw on the skillet with a little olive oil to get crispy. The kid's love frozen fruit and I love it on the night's when we have nothing fresh &/or I

    don't want to chop.
